Hello, I just started playing with the PicoZed SDR platform and am trying to boot my system.
I started this system without the SD card (got it from someone else) so I followed the instructions to make myself a new card. I tried two different images (latest and one back--2015_R2-2016_07_26.img). 
During boot I get the following:

This is consistent with the rest of the filesystem, but I can cat /etc/passwd and other files. I also confirmed that if I configure eth0 manually, it will get out to the Internet. However I don't have access to the update script or git or any other tools. Has anyone seen anything like this before?

May have figured it out

But it seems that the figure in SW1 is supposed to be set towards the RF connectors, but it seems to only work for me when I have it towards the HDMI connector on the carrier card. Any reason why that makes sense?

Are you talking about the 3 boot select switches on the PicoZed SDR SOM? (s1,s3,s4)

If you want to boot from an SD card inserted into the FMC Carrier, then all 3 SOM switches should be moved away from the HDMI connector.
